I am responding to your George Taylor, Woodruff Co.AR The (Rutherfords in McCrory) around late 1800's or earley 1900's were somehow related to me. I have hit a dead end every way I've turned. My GGF was Mace Rutherford, b 1858 AL, his son's Jimmy, Zelmer & Romer. Their father Mace Rutherford was brother of Matilda Rutherford (TAYLOR). She married Henry Taylor, Marshall Co. AL and they & their children moved to MCCrory AR. Lucy Taylor married a BALL I remember Grandpa telling me that. Grandpa Romer Rutherford was dumped off in McCrory after his mother died (Mandy from the Netherlands) along with his brothers to be raised by Matilda Rutherford TAYLOR, Henry Taylors wife. Grandpa ended up living with a Tobe BROOKS there on a cattle ranch I believe. When Grandpa was around 12yrs old he left out on his own & worked farm to farm in AR. Eventually he went back to McCrory for a while. ***Do you know anything about these Rutherfords** or can you find out anything. I don't even know Mace Rutherford's parents names. Grandpa Romer was born in Marshall Co. AL or Morgan Co. and Mace there too or Maybe Blount Co. AL. I know hardly nothing about them and Grandpa Romer said he did not see Mace, (his father) again until he was grown. Thanks, Pam
