The Arkansas History Commission is in Little Rock in a building just behind the State Capitol. There's also the Tri-County Genealogical Society which has records for Monroe (Woodruff's adjacent county, and one from which Woodruff was originally formed) and two neighboring counties. All are excellent resources for research in Cotton Plant. By the way, do you know about Cotton Plant Day, which is held the Saturday preceding Labor Day each year? There is much information right there during the festival from folks who live there and folks who return to Cotton Plant for that annual event. Good luck with your research!
