There was a place called Lane's Ferry or Lane's Landing and then until around 1970 there was a Lane, TN. J.L. Lane was injured in Civil War, married Harriet Blankenship (from near Union City, TN) and moved with her and her mother to Prairie Grove, AR in 1871. He died there that same year but his son was born a few months later and named the same. I would be interesting in knowing the route they took. G. Connors
