My ggggrand parents, Peter and Amanda Mabra lived in Cotton Plant in the late 1870's - early 1880's. Their only son, John was born there in 1880. They later moved to Fordyce, AR in Dallas county. They were both born in Kentucky, but I don't have any information on where. I would appreciate any information on the Mabras. My father, John M. Hayes, remembers that Peter, his ggrandfather, looked like a white man and it was rumored that he may have been. In fact, it was thought that he may have been a Menonite.
