Can you provide any additional information on her such as who she was married to and dates for her husband?. Was Clark her maiden name or married name?. If you have any other information, I will see if I can help you. Oh by the way, thanks for reading my column and I am glad you enjoy it. The Fletchers you refer to are the same as the ones I am looking for. I would appreciate what information you can share with me. You may contact me through my e-mail. I will be glad to share with you what information I have on the family of Mary Agnes Baker. I know little about the Fletchers. Agnes Baker was one of my great aunts. One of her sisiters, Phoebe, was my paternal grandmother. Would you know if there are any direct descendants still in the your area? I have some letters written by the Baker family that I would like to share if anyone is interested. Thank you again for you help, Phoebe

I have a R. S. "Bob" Smith, born February 8, 1865 and died July 19, 1930 who is buried in an unknown cemetery in Woodruff County. I also have Harriett Smith, mother of John, who died December 8, 1937 and is also buried in an unknown cemetery in Woodruff County. This means that these records were obtained from either funeral homes or relatives who knew of the people but did not know where they were buried. I was very impressed with your information and the story of George Smith. I think you should consider putting all this together with names and dates, etc., and I could publish the story in the Woodruff County Monitor newspaper in my column of "Family Roots". I beleive that every one would enjoy it very much. Think about it and let me know. I always like to have a picture of the main subject. Other names that I have buried in the Beards Cemetery are; Andrew Smith, born October 7, 1855 and died April 12, 1914, WOW Douglas T. Smith, born May 21, 1914 and died December 9, 1914. Florence Adena, daughter of John, born February 26, 1941 and died February 27, 1941. Emmette E. Smith, December 12, 1852 and died March 9, 1914. Mary A. Smith, wife of Emmett, born March 10, 1854 and died March 26, 1931. Louis T. Smith, born October 27, 1892 and died October 21, 1913. Virgie Smith, born March 21, 1884 and died March 20, 1906. Hope this helps you and keep up the good work on your family history. Best regards, Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor McCrory, AR 72101

You have done a wonderful job on the Woodruff County Web page. I have considered putting some of my stories on the webb but didn't know how to do this. If you would like to do this for me I will prepare a few for you and send them to you. I would like to mail them to you if possible. Please let me know your mailing address if you are interested. Regarding Fielding Price and any descendants living in Woodruff County, I have no record of this. Fielding Price and his wife, Mary Martha "Polly" Gutherie were married November 19, 1837 in White Co., AR and their marriage record is recorded in Book A, 1836-1858. They had ten children of which I have record of. Most of them died in White County and some are buried in the Beebe Cemetery at Beebe, White Co., AR. I did a great deal of research on this family before and after writing the story in the Bald Knob Banner in August 2002. I have so much more information now in the file. It contains 1,639 names and I have taken them back to Richard Price, born 1555 in Montgomeryshire, Wales. With all the information that I now have I could write a real good family history story. I will have to say that this was one of the most interesting stories that I have written. I received many letters, faxes, phone calls and e-mails from this story. I also had two of the Price descendants, one from Searcy and one from Beebe, to meet me in Bald Knob and exchange information with me. I look forward to hearing from you and hope that we can soon post the Fielding Price story on the Woodruff County Web Page. Best regards, Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor

I am pretty sure this is the right family. The birthday matches for Allen H. Casey in the 1900 Arkansas census! Also, Jannah/Hannah reappears in the 1900 census in the Casey Settlement. I just took a look at the census and I am also gald you *translated* the names for me. I looked at the entries and had no idea what the names were supposed to be. Thanks again for the lead!! I have a new quest of finding out out where they all went because they are not in the 1880 census for TN anywhere I could find. I am thinking that Hardin Cty and Savannah are very close to both the MS and AL borders that I will look there too. They must have been somewhere in the 30 years before 1900. Deb
I am still trying to track down my one and only Turner. Elmer Turner was born in Searcy Co., AR His mother was Sally STILLS BROWN TURNER REEVES, father was James (Possibly William) TURNER. He was born about 1880 and might have a sister as well. James and Sally where not married long because she remarried in 1890 to Joel Newton Reeves. All of this took place in Searcy Co., but Elmer moved to Cottan Plant, Woodruff CO., and lived there until his death in 1973. I have not been able to find anything else about him. Can anyone help me out with this person. He is half brother to my Grandfather, Thomas Brown. Any help would be greatly appreciated. DdHober
