I looked in the last papers of 1930 and the first papers of 1931. I did learn that the Tuckerman Record is on microfilm at the library in Newport and you can make copies of the article there. However, there may be something in the article that could confirm whether this is the great uncle I have been looking for. Also, if there is anything in that you may be able to find in reference to my uncle I would truly appreciate. Thank you again, Clara

However what I did find is in the old Tuckerman Record, Jackson Co., AR, published on January 2, 1931. Buddie Puckett died North of Tupelo, Jackson Co., AR on December 19, 1930. This was a article but there was no formal obituary. In the same paper published on July 22, 1932 was a Dewey Puckett that had died and no other information. The Tuckerman Record ceased publication in 1989. I will check at the office tomorrow and see if it was published in the Woodruff County paper. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/AW.2ADE/775.1.6.1.1.1.2 Message Board Post: Gary, I ran across information on the internet which indicated this information was acquired from the death listing for Woodruff County Ledger. Would this be the same paper in Woodruff County now. The reason I ask is because the information I located that was listed showed a Buddie Puckett who was killed in Weldon, Arkansas 12/22/30 and was listed in the newspaper of 12/27/30. I am trying to confirm if this is my great uncle. His real name was Amanuel or Manuel (Buddie) Puckett born June 1889 in Woodruff County, Arkansas to John Henry and Janie (Alcorn) Puckett. He was married during this time, I think, to Hattie (Collier) Puckett. If this is the same paper, how could I obtain the article? Thank you for any help you may be able to give me. Clara

If you will provide me with what you know, full names and any dates known, I will try to help you. Best regards, Gary Telford
