    2. WRidge
    3. Family members often hold the keys to our ancestry, and the opportunity to interview living relatives is too often neglected. I have been wanting to find information on Clifton Stanley Holmes but have had no luck. I know that James and Mary Holmes were in Woodruff County in the 1880 census listed with seven children of which one was Clifton born about 1872 in Alabama. The census list the surname as "Homes". They were in the Caney Twp., Woodruff Co., AR. The cemetery that you mentioned is recorded as the Penrose (Aka Holmes, Fair Oaks) Cemetery. It is located two miles south of Fair Oaks and north of Penrose one and one half miles on the west side of Highway 19. The only Holmes I found listed were as follows; Holmes, Rovell, son of C. S. and Grace B: August 29, 1910 D: June 14, 1916 Holmes, Harold, son of C. S. and Grace B: June 20, 1918 D: October 11, 1919 I would like to have your information on James and Mary Holmes and their children and also the information on Clifton Stanley Holmes, his wife and children. If you have other members of the family who are buried in this cemetery, I would like this information also. Thank you in advance, looking forward to hearing from you soon. 1. Eason ancestors
    2. Does anyone know about my Eason ancestors???? Charles Alfred Eason (b1899) married to Lillian Inez Eason (b 1911) were my parents. Father of Charles was George Eason, father of George was Alfred, father of Alfred was Joseph. I know that Joseph and a brother, I believe Thomas, came to Woodruff County AR from Tennessee, and originally from NC. I know that George died when my dad Charles was young, supposedly in a gunfight in a saloon. I am looking for cemetery records, marriage records, or hearsay. I especially enjoy stories about the Easons, as it seems they were a colorful lot. Thanks Donna Eason Harwood The good you do today, people will often forget tomorrow; do good anyway.  Donna
