Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/AW.2ADE/842.2 Message Board Post: Am I too late to enter this discussion. I am a great-granddaughter of Edward O. Grigsby and Eliza Norrell Grigsby. I see the question about where they are buried has already been answered. My daughter & I visited the Oddfellows Cemetery in 1990 and took photographs. I had the photographs that my dad and aunt had taken in the 1950s when they returned to the McCory/DeView area. Nettie, my dad, and aunt had returned to DeView in 1907/1908 and were there when Eliza died. William B. Miers and Nettie O. Grigsby Miers were my grandparents. Nettie died in 1912 in Hearne, TX. Now, that said, I thought no one else would be interested in this line as Nettie was the only child that lived. From another researcher, I learned that Eliza had had two or three children by her first husband, also a doctor, but they did not live. My question is, what is your relation to Edward O. Grigsby? Also where did you find his middle name? My dad had said his grandfather's middle name was Olenda and Nettie's middle name was Odella. I have copies of Edward's Civil War service from the MS Archives. Also, his "invitation" to the Civil War. I also have his diploma from medical school.
Hello List, The 1850 St. Francis County, Richland Twp, AR Census has the family of William L. DOBKINS with his wife, Mary, who he had married in about 1848, with their eleven month old twins: James A., and Samuel L. Dobkins. Mary's maiden name was ADAIR, and she had first married John PARKER in late 1830s. John Parker had died in late 1840s, and his and Mary's children are with her and William Dobkins on that 1850 Census. John Parker and Mary's children listed are twins, John and Prudence Parker, William H. Parker, Lena M. Parker, and Mary E. Parker. I would deeply appreciate hearing from any of you who might be familiar with any of these folks. Thanks very much, Evelyn in CO enichols@tds.net

I am trying to find information on my great aunt Retha/Leathie Martin. She was born in 1907 in AR. Possibly White or Woodruff Co. She was living in White Co. on the 1910 census with her parents, Thomas and Alice Williamson Martin, and sister, Ruby. My father told me that she died at around age nine from Typhoid, he thought. I think it was probably Spanish Influenza as that was a nationwide epidemic about that time. She would have died around 1916-1917. I am trying to find when/where she died and where she is buried. I believe she is buried in AR as her parents divorced in 1915 and her mother remarried to a Milton Young. They are on the 1920 census for Woodruff Co., AR and Retha is not listed with them. I wondered if there were school records that are on-line somewhere for White and Woodruff Counties also. My dad said that they went to she and my grandmother Ruby went to school. I would really appreciate any help in finding her. Thanks Charlotte
