As far as I know there was no list of the children printed and published.- I spent two years researching and compiling records on the War Veterans of Woodruff County who served in all the wars such as The Revolutionary War, War of 1812, Mexican War, Civil War, WW 1, WW 2 and Vietnam. Many of these had biographics and pictures. I had this published in the Woodruff County Monitor on November 10, 2004 and it contained 14 pages dedicated soley to the vets. of Woodruff County, the largest newspaper ever published in Woodruff County and the largest publication ever published in any newspaper in Arkansas honoring the War Veterans of Woodruff County. Yhe following information would be a good source for obtaining records on WW 1 War Vets.- Hope this helps. Best regards, Gary Telford Family Roots Woodruff County Monitor Arkansas' World War I Soldiers Did your grandfather serve in World War I? Your family history won't be complete without information about his military service. He may only have been called up and sent to a training camp before the war ended in 1918, but his willingness to serve and his experience is important. Don't forget those collateral relatives (relatives like great-uncles and your grandpa's cousins who aren't in your direct genealogical line). Those far-flung uncles and cousins are part of your family, too, and you may find they served in the military. Why are you interested in them? Because they may lead you to a place where your non-military folks lived, got married, did business, had babies, bought land, paid taxes, died, and were buried. So don't overlook any records about all members of your extended family. Clues! More clues! Dr. John L. Ferguson, Director of the Arkansas History Commission, directed us to a little-known, seldom-used card file containing the discharge records of our Arkansas soldiers. (Don't confuse this with the draft registration; it's a different animal.) Arkansas Research, Inc. is proud to announce publication of this series of 32 books by Desmond Walls Allen listing our Arkansas World War I soldiers. Information about each soldier includes: full name army serial number (essential for getting more information) race residence city and county date and place he entered service whether he was an officer his age in years and months or date of birth town and state (or foreign city and country) of his birth and notes The soldiers are listed in alphabetical order by their last names: Index to Arkansas' World War I Soldiers, Vol. I, Surnames A-C (ISBN 1-56546-226-2) 258 pages, $37.00 How to Order Arkansas Research, Inc. - Mail to: PO Box 303, Conway, AR 72033-0303 Fax to: 501/470-1120 PayPal Ready to order? George and Novella were married in AR June 15, 1902 but can't find any kind of record on them. George supposedly worked for a railroad company and traveled the railways with his job. He was supposedly from MO and they might have moved back there. I have been unable to find any records. William and Alberta (Vaulner) Conley were married on April 19, 1900. Alberta died on January 23, 1916, I believe. I have been unable to find any kind of marriage, death, or any other records. It is unknown if George and Novella or William and Alberta had any children. If anyone has any info or sources that might have this info, please let me know. I have been searching for over a year to find something.
