Could your Palmertree be Pomtree? There is a Russell Pomtree that lives in Augusta whose father was named Alva . Looking at the SSDI Alva Pomtree was born Sept 22, 1911. Hello all, and Season's Greetings: I joined the list today hoping to make contact with someone who might be able to help me find some info on family who moved from Mississippi and settled in Woodruff County in the 1920s. Just today I found them on the 1920 and 1930 census, and thanks to the Woodruff County Website, I have found one of my family members buried at Reneau Cemetery. I did find Ellis Gore who died 5/27/1940 in Faunlkner County.I also found Johnie Lam Gore who died 12/15/1925 in Jackson County.I don't know if these help.Hope they do. I will let you know if I find out anything tomorrow.Before I forget,do you have the month that she died?
Can either of you from Cotton Plant tell me if there are still any Sproling's or Sprawling living there? Also, if you know any of them over in Biscoe. These are all relatives whom I'm trying to locate to get info on my great grand father, Stephen Sprawling who lived around there in 1880-1920 or so.
