According to the orphanage records from Memphis, TN they had relatives in McCrory, AR in the 1930's. One of the relatives on the orphanage's papers listed an A. J. Porter of Mccrory. I have a Death Record Index for North Central Arkansas, 1914 - 1923, since that seems to cover most of my family. I purchased the indes from Arkansas Research, PO Box 303, Conway AR 72033.

It is possible that the death was not reported to the state, especially if the burial was done by the family.
