I have a Allen L. KING that was married to a Eliza Hartsell . in February 05, 1871 in White Co. AR . They apparently lived close to each others farm because I believe it was the 1840 cenus that the names of Hartsell and King where numerated close together. I also have a copy of a docoment from the courts that Eliza Hartsell after the death of her husband Allen King she had papers drawn up to sell some property to care for their children , Allen T and William S King . Do you know if this Eliza maybe a daughter of this Esau Hartsell ? Please contact me .

Perhaps he was in the military, because the "Arkansas Democrat"; (Little Rock; 28 May 1957); p. 8 says she lived in Frankfurt, Germany. I will include the text of the article in case in provides some useful information. "Arkansas Democrat"; (Little Rock; 28 May 1957); p. 8 says "Retired Minister Dies in Arkadelphia Arkadelphia - The Rev. S. C. Vicks (sic), 77, retired Baptist minister, died here early today.
