Ada Barrentine married John Smith in the late 1890s and died in childbirth within a year of their marriage. I don't know if this was Ada's maiden or married name, in that John Smith would have been around 35 at the time. A younger woman, Georgia Barrentine, maintained contact with the Smith family into the 1930s. They were related to the Barrentines at "Barrentine Corner" where old US 67 turned south from US 64 about 4 miles west of Beebe. Are these two Barrentine women related to Charles Barrentine? Wendell

Wendell Georgia C was the second wife of Forrest D.Barentine who was the brother of Charles L Barentine Georgia operated a small gas station and I guess was would now be a small mini mart. Forrest was a farmer and ran a few head of cattle.
