This Texan is looking for the above ancestors. Meredith and Ellizabeth Ann (GARRETT) STONE relocated from Hardin Co., TN to White County in 1853. One of Elizabeth's cousins, Yateman Jerome GARRETT also came from TN. Yateman had a son John Burney GARRETT (1876-1940) who was born and died in White Co. Joseph Martin and Mary Jane (BREWER) NELSON came from Itawamba Co., MS to White Co. about 1880 and later moved to Lonoke Co. (1900). I believe them to be the parents of my grandfather, William A. "Willie" NELSON, by his first wife Mary Ann STONE, daughter of George Washington Dallas "Dal" and Lou Candy (STRICKLAND) STONE. W. A. later married Blanche BROWN in Lonoke Co. in 1908 and relocated to Searcy, White Co., or was already there. Willie and Blanche lived at 410 South Spring Street, Searcy, AR in Sep 1917 (letter to mother dated 23 Sep 1917). Who were the parents of J. Wesley CLARK? (14 Feb 1910 - 7 Jul 1992) He married Ina Alberta STONE and had two children James Waylon CLARK and (living) CLARK. Houston Benager GUNTER married Elizebeth (STONE) WINTON, 23 Mar 1876, in Bristol Township, Faulkner Co., AR. They lived most of their life in White Co. and are buried in Union Hill Cemetery, White Co., as are many STONE family members. I would appreciate any help available. Thanks, Jack L. Blair
