I am looking for information on my great-grandfather. Green Stephens was born in Jasper County, Georgia, Oct. 5, 1805 and died in White County, Arkansas, in either 1883 or 1885. The family bible says Oct. 6, 1883 but Goodspeeds' Biographies of Eastern Arkansas lists 1885. His first wife (I do not know that he married again but neither do I know that he didn't) was Margaret McRae (they married in 1849) and she died Feb. 11, 1856, in Barbour County, Alabama.
