Dewey Metcalf born abt 1899 was the son of Joe Lewis Metcalf and Ellen Walls Metcalf . Joe was Ellen's 2nd marriage because her first husband William Metcalf was Joe's brother. I had him listed with his siblings , Lonnie Lee , Gracie, Basil, and Stella . I don't have any birth or death dates on this family . My ex-husband Joe C. Metcalf is from Joe Metcalf b. August 16, 1892 and d. September 12, 1938 marriage. Edna Florence Brinkley . The Metcalf Family lived in Rutherford County, NC before coming to AR . They settled first in Sharp County, AR in Evening Shade and as the bounderings changed , then they lived in Independance County ,close to Batesville. My husbands father was Jay B.
