The Coopers and Normans came to White County in the early 1850's. ELISHA MCDANIEL COOPER was my great grandfather. He came with his inlaws, FRANCIS & SARAH NORMAN. Several of his brothers came at about the same time, and his mother came to White County after the death of Elisha's father in KY. His mother was ELIZABETH COGGIN. HENRY HOLLEMAN & his wife ELIZABETH COTTON HOLLEMAN, arrived in White County in 1858, from North Carolina. My other White County family is not proven, at this point, but I am fairly certain my great grandmother, ELIZA JANE PRICE, is possibly the daughter of WILLIS PRICE & SYDNEY JANE BOYDSTUN. Eliza Jane first married Dennis Hodge Smith and then my great grandfather JOHN CALVIN RICE. They lived in Cleburne & Stone Counties. The other lines of my family lived in Cleburne Co. They are TYLER, RICE, HOLLIMAN & JACKSON Kay Cooper, Atwater, CA
