Hi! I'm searching for any info on the KILLMAN/KILMAN surname. I'm interested in all KILLMAN info; it's a fairly uncommon surname, and I believe that all KILLMANs trace back to the same roots. The KILLMAN that I'm particularly interested in is James D. KILLMAN b. abt 1851 KY. In 1883 he married a Caroline THOMAS in Sharp Co. In 1900 he's in Izard Co. with his wife of 16 years, Drucilla. This means that either Drucilla is somehow the same person as Caroline THOMAS, or he remarried in short order after his marriage to Caroline. I know abolutely nothing about Caroline THOMAS. In 1900, Drucilla and James KILLMAN have had 2 children that have died, and I know nothing about them. They also have 4 living children: Dora E. KILLMAN m. Charles C. SHAW abt 1909 Clara L. KILLMAN Maude A. KILLMAN m. James MOONEYHAN 1911 in Indepedence Co. David Ellis KILLMAN In 1910 James and Drucilla KILLMAN are in Izard Co., and between the 1900 and 1910 census, Clara L. has died. I haven't found any record to substantiate her death other than the census. Also in 1910, James has a sister, Jane Ann LAWSON living with him. In 1911, James has remarried to Mary Elizabeth FITZGERALD STOUT. I don't know what happened to Drucilla, James' wife of 25 years, between 1910 and 1911 - either she died or they divorced.
