She was born May 16, 1926, in the Twenty Three community north of Bald Knob. She attended New Bethel General Baptist Church and was an avid reader, loved solving crossword puzzles and was an accomplished crochet artist. She is survived by one sister, Marie Chambliss of Newport and a host of nieces, nephews and friends who will miss her smiling face. She was preceded in death by her parents, David Crockett and Virda Alma Frank Sammons, her son, Paul Edward Watson and three sisters; Thelma Lewis, Eva Mae Staggs and Rowena Armilda Cole and one brother, Myrl St. Patrick Sammons. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday at the New Bethel Baptist Church with interment in the Shady Grove Cemetery, Bald Knob. Arrangements by Powell Funeral Home, Bald Knob-Judsonia.
