    3. I am especially interested in the membership lists of churches in White County. I suspect the reason I am a Methodist is because my Mom was and I suspect that Her Mom must have been too <G> My grandmother was Mary Alice Jackson she was born 1859 Dec. 31 in Camden Benton Co. TN but her father moved the family to Romance Arkansas in White County about 1870. Her father was Able Richmond Jackson and was a merchant in Romance. Able R. Jackson was married to Martha Ann Moss a daughter of William Wells Moss. I think the Moss family or parts of it went to White Co . Grandma Jackson married when she was 16 to W. T. Patterson in White County. She had three daughters by him and he died of TB. She married W. A. Yoast who was her brother in law-- his wife who was Patterson's sister also died of TB. Mr Yoast soon died and they had no children together so my grandma went over to Faulkner Co. and married Hiram B. Love. Able R Jackson and Martha Moss Jackson had children William Andrew who married Mary Standfield, Mary Alice as mentioned above, Biddy Jane who I think died young and Thomas Wesley who lived to marry but I don't know who??? I have a mystery too. I have photos one is of Able R. Jackson with wife and my grandma as a little girl. It was written on so I know who it is. Then I have another photo from an Aunt of mine of Another Able R. Jackson also written on but this is a younger and different man. I think my grandma had another brother named Able R. Jr. I need proof of this or any information about any of these people or any church membership rolls showing any of them. Mary Harkey Russell [email protected]
