I have some suggestions for you. I would suggest that you contact the White County Historical Society and ask for help. They may be your best bet. The are a good group of people and are highly thought of. Unless I am mistaken, there is an e-mail for Eddie Best on the front of this site. He is connected to the group. Those country churches in those areas if still around, probably have some dear soul who can tell you all about them if they were ever members. You may want to check that out. Also, if you want the name of a real researcher, I can give one. My mother-in-law lived in White County as a child and young person out from Searcy at a place called Four Mille Hill. While she is now nearly 91, her mind is still good. There is always an outside chance she knew them and if she did, she still remembers them. So write me directly if you would like to give her a call so that I can provide a phone number. As far as being farm laborers, that was what most were at the time as there was no opportunity for a descent job or even an education. I have seen more than a few folks who bettered themselves, when the opportunity presented itself. Good luck!
