I went to a reunion in Searcy about a month ago and while there i went to the Courthouse to lookup records. I was surprise at the lack of records that they had. Do you know who keeps the actual census records? They did not know. Right now i need to decide where to look for information, I may just put out some quieries and check out the responses. A lack of Census data on George and Ida Pruitt in 1920 leaves a big void of information on them between 1910 and 1930. I hope the information i have sent before will help you in your search. I live over in Blytheville, Mississippi County,AR so i am not very far from your area. With relatives from Pine Bluff and the Searcy area i am more familiar with the area now. Happy Hunting! In regard to the Pruitt family from Georgia, the spelling difference was way back before the times you speak of--like the the Civil War. The lady I spoke of married in 1868 so the ones I am interested in are back another generation or two. If I do find that we have data relating to your grouping I will gladly share. Much of what I know has been given to me so I do believe in sharing. If you ever decide you need a researcher to work this state, let me know and I can suggest someone.
