I cannot prove it but the timing is right. Family story goes that my grandfathers dad died in Oklahoma before he was born and he was raised by an uncle Jack Greer in Pine Snag community, White Co. Ar. Maybe they all went to Ok and when he died, Georgia brought her children back to Ar.? I can't prove this but the coincidence is amazing.

The only information I can give is the 1880 census information. I have a handwritten note from my G'mother, that has already passed on....to check on a Mary Watson. A possible sister. I would ask that you check the school census records ...for Montee and Mary. This would still be around the timeframe of 1880. But! if there is more than one school, please don't put youself to that trouble. I can't seem to find a trail from Bald Knob to Boone County to Oklahoma... there is a time gap of about 20 years. My g'grandparents married about 1898-99...but I can't find a record there either. Family gossip is that they met in Boone County. Her name is Hannah Rosetta Thomason. Daughter of William Wiley and Margaret Chambers. If those Stewarts are kin to me...Please give them my info. I have a tentative trip planned for the spring. Thank you so much for your offer!!! Lisa

He is an officer in the group. They have an excellent newsletter and meet regularly I believe. With a connection into the Searcy area, Mr. Best may be able to help you. He is not native to the area was my understanding, but he is a really nice person and will help you if he can. Also, if you will simply go back to the beginning/opening part of the White County site, you should find some information of some sorts as they run one of the best sites around. If for some reason, this does not pan out, write me back and I can give you the name of a research lady. Hope this helps. Good luck!
