    1. Re: [ARWHITE] State Sanatarium
    2. Bill Leach
    3. I don't know how many sanitariums there were in Arkansas in 1932, however, there was a sanitarium for tuberculosis patients near Booneville, Arkansas. This sanitarium remained open into the 1950's or later. Was a large complex and it seems like I saw an article a few years ago, that the state presently still uses the complex for a different purpose. Booneville is in western Arkansas south of Van Buren. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Nancy Metcalf" <nmetcalf@mynewroads.com> To: <ARWHITE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Tuesday, February 01, 2005 9:14 AM Subject: [ARWHITE] State Sanatarium > Would anyboby know about a state Sanatarium in AR around 1932? 3. Clemmie Hooper was the wife of R. V. Hooper. Clemmie died in 1981 and R. V. died in 1993. I believe they only had one son, Doyle, who died in 1999. Doyle never married. R. V. remarried after Clemmie's death, however, I do not have the second wife's name. They lived at Beebe, Arkansas and are buried in the Beebe Cemetery. 3. I'm hoping for some help in locating a half-sister that lived in Searcy in 1957. I'm looking for Lenoria Elaine Seward, born 11/27/1940, daughter of Gerald Wayne Seward and Edith "Bostater" Seward. I believe that she used the middle name of Elaine more often than her first name. I have a letter from her postmarked January 1957, from 210 South Oak Street, Searcy. She would have graduated from the Searcy High School in 1957, 1958, or 1959. I'm hoping to find some alumni from that time period that might remember her or her mother and know something about where they might have gone. Any help and information would be greatly appreciated!

    3. Okay I havea question about the Hartsell's . Do you know any more about them? My info has Allen L. King married Eliza Hartsell . she was the dau of Easu Hartsell ? Allen and Eliza were married February 5, 1871 in White County. Allen born in 1843 and Eliza born abt 1853 . I have children listed so far as being Allen Theodore , William S. and Etta King . I have a copy of a codicial of a will because Allen died before his father James King in 1879 . Eliza had to sell off some inhertited land to the children to raise the children . Allen also married a Eliza Masters. So I don't know if the Eliza mentioned in the coddicial is Eliza Hartsell or Eliza Masters. I don't know who was first. Any help would be gratefull .
