    3. Oh yes, we are definitely related!!! BUT, I have his name as George W. Hanson, not George H. Hanson - his father was George H. Hanson. The GW comes from: 1890 White County, AR Tax Rolls, his application for confederate service pension and his widow's application for pension for his conferdate service (I have copies of the the latter 2). Your George was the brother of my direct ancestor, Benjamin Franklin Hanson. Your George was 19 years older than my Benjamin, and one of your George's sons, William Thomas Hanson and my Benjamin married McDearman sisters! My mother started researching this line about 1985 and worked a lot with Gladys Hanson Perryman, a grandaughter of your George and a lot of my info comes from the work of these 2 ladies. I think I have a lot of info about this family...unfortunately not any on the ancestors of our George H. Hanson, but a LOT on his wife, Susannah (Susan) Radford - have you researched that line? Anyway, here's a brief summary of how our relatives fit together...let me know what you think...we have to compare more notes!! 1. George H. HANSON was born about 1805 in GA. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/wV.2ADI/823.1.1 Message Board Post: Debbie, I wish I could be more encouraging, but I don't see much chance of a connection. My great-grandfather James was born in about 1876, apparently in Royal Township, White County, Arkansas. Assuming I have the right James Edwards (and I think I do), the 1880 White County census suggests he had a brother Joe (two years or so older), that his mother was Locky (?) (Massey) Edwards, that his father was probably dead by this time (doesn't appear in this census but shown via his sons as having been born in TN), and the mother and two children were living with her father. That's as far back as I've been able to go at this point, and I wish I were a little more certain of the information I have (I'm sure you've recognized how people's ages seem to vary by a year or two, depending on which document you're looking at). Best of luck, Dwayne
