I'm looking for information on my great great grandfather, William Anthony Burrows of McRae, AR. He was married to Elmira D. Johnson of MS. Their son, Thomas Seaton Burrows married Katie Mae Johnson in MS. Many of my relatives are buried at the Antioch Cemetery in Antioch. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

I read a report on Punkin Town Cemetery on the White County Website that was upsetting. A recent visitor to Punkin Town Cemetery was not allowed to visit the cemetery because the land owner did not want visitors. The visitor did not see any headstones. I visited Punkin Town Cemetery over 5 years ago. There were two large headstones marking the Sutherlin graves. There were numerous stones marking other graves. I took several pictures of the site. Does Arkansas have laws that protect cemeteries? Jetta

The 1860 Polk Co Ar census on page 55 lists: Dwelling # 383; Family #377 John A. BUCKNER age 58 born Ky. Elizabeth BUCKNER age 45 born Tn. Can anyone tell me anything about them? They ar not listed in the 1870 census. I have ordered and just received the death certificate of my grandfather: Elijah Samuel RUSSELL. It lists his father as Elijah RUSSELL, which is correct and his mother as Mary Jane BUCKNER, both of Arkansas My puzzlement that I also need help with: The 1860 Polk County Ar. census on page 70 lists: Dwelling #497; Family #486 Elijah RUSSELL age 25 born Tn. Married in January Mary J. RUSSELL age 21 born Ar.????????? Married in January Here is the puzzell...................... F. 3 Son " " " My ancestor was Mary Jane "Mollie" OWENS WATSON, she had a daughter America WATSON SAPPINGTON. Mollie is from MS also.
