I need to know if documentation exist showing his middle name was "Walter." He was born about 1833 in Whitley Co., KY. John and his wife, Margaret Bird Cox moved to Washington Co., AR, about 1857. He became a Union solider and died in Regimental Hospital, Fayetteville, Washington Co, AR, on Jan. 16, 1863. I also need to know if he had a daughter Mary whose middle name was "ANN." She died in AR sometime after the death of her father. Mary 's (Ann ?) body was taken by train along with her mother, Margaret and other children back to Whitley Co., KY.
