Joyce Elizabeth McGee Elizabeth McGee was the daughter of Patrick Steward (Stuart) McGEE and Mary SPEAR. My information was provided by Willie Bohannan and from Mrs. Roy Manley of GA. I have some supporting information, but I do not know her birth date. her husband Hiram Kelly was born in 1787. Elizabeth's parents were believed to have been married 12 Dec 1786 in Rowan County NC. One researcher believed Elizabeth may have been born in South Carolina, but I believe Patrick is listed in the North Carolina twice prior to Elizabeth's marriage, and census data indicates the mother of my gg-grandmother, Sarah Kelly Ellis, was born in NC. Patrick McGee is listed in the 1830 Census of Habersham County, GA. James McGee was either with the family or next door. My guess is that Patrick and Mary McGee died in Habersham County before the 1840 census but I am still searching for some documentation.
