    3. Hi M. M., I don't have any direct contact at this point with any Fines (except me from granny Millie :-). I am new to this line of my research, although, I would dearly love to see the photo you have of a Fine. Is it possible to email it? You never can tell where family resemblance comes in. My father looks just like his grandfather Romulus Claude Jr and my cousin Farrah soooo much like our gr grandmother Lucille Hewitt James. My granny who is still alive and a very sharp 90 may have met this person. She married Miles James, son of Romulus Jr. As for Romulus Claude, sorry if I confused you. My great grand father was Romulus Claude Jr married to Lucille Hewitt and when she died he married Isobel Searles. My great great grandfather was Romulus Claude Sr who married Sarah Ann Miller of Pea Ridge and maybe Elm Springs if this is her family I found in the census of 1880. I don't know if you have the Fine descendants info from this site: http://www.lovecompany.org/pdfs/Fine.pdf Note: 1. Spencer Forby Fine (settled Springdale - first U.S. Patent to Fine) Spencer, the first son of William and Katie, was 18 years old when his parents made the move to Arkansas. He married Jane Brandon, also a native of Tennessee, who was born 1819. A newspaper clipping in the old John Calvin Fine scrapbook says "Spencer F. Fine died in Washington County, Arkansas on the 21st ult; aged 86 years. He was one of the early settlers of this county." He died in 1896. (Page 16 16) Spencer and Jane became the parents of 12 children, all born in his adopted state af Arkansas. The children are listed as they appear in the 1850-60 census for Washington County: (1) William, b. 1834 (2) Caladonia, b. April 26, 1836 (3) Sophronia, b. Sept. 15, 1837 (4) Malonia, b. 1840 (5) Martha, b. 1842 (6) Carriller, b. 1844 (7) Elizabeth, b. 1845 (8) Savannah, b. 1848. She died before 1860 (9) James, b. 1850 (10) Ann, b. 1854 (11) Clementine, b. 1856 (12) Peter, b. 1858 .Mrs. Stephen L. (Pearl) King, Bentonville, Ark. is a great-granddaughter of Spencer and Jane Fine. She furnishes a list of these children which shows some of them were called by middle names or nicknames. Her list includes William, Davie, London, Forbie, Jennie, Martha, Sophronia, Malonia, Caldonia, and Christine. The Spencer Fine family lived in Prairie Township in 1850 but moved to Clear Creek Township before the 1860 census was enumerated. Little is known about Spencer and Jane's first daughter, ............ Would love to hear back from you!
