Joy, Thanks so much for the information. George Miller's parents were born in Michigan and England. His father was George W. Miller, and his mother was Charlotte Gittins Miller. He had 1 half-brother, Edward, and 3 brothers, Charles, Frank, and Walter, all born in Wayne Co., Redford Township, Michigan in the late 1870s-1880s. George Miller (my grandfather) left home around 1900 never to return because of a family issue - he was deeply hurt by his parents and never talked about any of them again. We do not know what happened to Edward, Charles or Frank, but can find Walter. I never ever discount any Millers that are found on the net because sometimes there is a link that we just don't know about yet. George went to Indianapolis sometime in 1915 or 1916 and met my grandmother, Bessie Payton, whom he married in January 1916. They moved to Kansas City soon after that where their first child, Leonard, was born. My father was the youngest of 4 children, and he was born in Oklahoma. George and Bessie eventually made it to Arkansas and lived for a time on a ranch in Highfill, then moved into Fayetteville I believe near the end of his life. My grandmother lived in Fayetteville for about 15 years after his death and then moved to the Kansas City area in Mo., where she died in 1976. We have been digging an digging, trying to find the whereabouts of all his brothers in Michigan, and have made some inroads, but really do not know much about them, so the search goes on. If I run across anything that could be of interest to you, I will definitely pass it on. Were your Millers all born in Arkansas? I ran into someone on the net who was searching for their relatives in NW Arkansas about a year or so ago and she was desperate to find them. Think one of them was a Frank Miller and he had served a prison sentence, but not really sure. Thanks, and good hunting!!
