    1. [ARWASHIN] Special Roll Call- McCamey, Wright, Baker & Deaver
    2. Danny McCamey
    3. Hi everyone, My name is Danny McCamey and I live in a suburb of Sydney, Australia called Cherrybrook. My father's ancestors were the McCamey's and Wright's of the Harmon area and my mother's were the Baker's and Deaver's of the Tontitown/Elm Springs area. The McCamey's go back to Joseph H. McCamey (b. 1818) and Nancy Trollinger McCamey (b. 1819) of Bedford County, Tennessee. The 1840 census has them in Bedford County, Tennessee. The 1850 census has them at War Eagle in Madison County, Arkansas. The 1860 census has them at Elm Springs in Washington County Arkansas. They are both buried at the Elm Springs cemetery. Joseph died in Benton County and Nancy died in Washington County (I think). I cannot document their birth dates but the census has both of them born in Tennessee. I have been unable to identify who Joseph's parents were. The Wright's go back to Jacob Wright (b. 1730) and Elizabeth Ann Waters Wright (b. abt 1761)of Laurens, South Carolina. The Wright family appears to have moved between North Carolina, South Carolina, Kentucky and Mississippi prior to 1860. By 1860, they had moved to Camden, Benton County, Tennessee. Prior to 1873, they then moved to Randolph County, Arkansas. From there, they moved to Springdale, Arkansas and then in 1882 they moved to the Harmon community. The land in Springdale was just east of the old intersection of highways 68 and 71. They moved because the trains on the newly-laid railroad had killed or crippled some of their calves. I have been unable to determine who the ancestors of Jacob and Elizabeth are. The Baker's go back to James Baker (b. abt 1723), wife unknown, of Wilkes County, North Carolina. The family moved back and forth between Wilkes County, North Carolina and Greyson County, Virginia (just across the line) until my great grandfather Benjamin Franklin Baker moved to McPherson, Kansas before 1878. After having 8 children in Kansas, He then moved to Brightwater, Benton County, Arkansas about 1900. My grandfather Guy Baker then married Sallie Deaver of Elm Springs in 1915. I cannot determine who James Baker married or who his ancestors were. By marriage into the Baker family, the ancestors of Guy Baker go back to about the time of Christ. My most important need is to locate ANY OTHER LIVING DESCENDANTS of Benjamin Franklin Baker in order to compare information, identify photos, etc.etc. The Deaver's go back to Basel Deaver (b. 1705 est) and Chew Pierpoint Deaver (b. 1725 est) of Maryland. The Deaver's remained in Maryland until Benjamin Jackson Deaver moved to Elm Springs, Washington County, Arkansas about 1850. There is a lot more to this story. I have been unable to determine who the ancestors of Basel and Chew are. See my website for more info and pictures: http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~dmccamey/ Any help will be appreciated. Thanks, Danny
