I am from New Mexico and am searching for any information on the Cullenders who were in Washington County in the 1850's. John Henry Cullender, born in TN in 1849, was the son of Anthony Cullender and Sarah Jane (?). John Henry married first to Susan Usery and later to J. Annie Davidson. I am searching for names of parents, burial places, and any other related information. Anthony died cir 1861 and John Henry lived with a Joseph Smith who might have been his uncle. Sarah Jane died prior to Anthony -- possibly in Washington County (place of death and burial not know) or in TN where John Henry was born. I am also searching for information on the Ivy/Ivey family -- John Ivey married Mary Hartley (d. cir 1888) in Washington County. He was the son of Nancy Brockus Ivy and Manley Ivey who was the son of Robert Ivy and Lucinda Shaddon of Independence County. When the Ivy family moved to Washington County is not known by me.
