Would that have been on the trip that you mentioned? A descendant of Seaborn sent me a copy of a note written by his daughter, Matilda Caughman Basham (from her funeral book), which gave some of her family history and states that Seaborn "made quite a stake in the lead mines" at Joplin, MO before moving to Colorado.
