Has anyone researched the Ferguson/Hise families that were in Washington County, Arkansas after the Civil War. My ancestor was Dr. Thomas Robert Ferguson born ca.1820 in Sullivan/Greene County, Indiana and died ca. 1888 either in Oklahoma or Arkansas. His probate records were in Washington Co., Arkansas beginning Jan. 1889. No record of his death or his wife, Eliza Jane. Any help in locating his/her death/burial dates greatly appreciated.
