    3. Members and contributors of the Franklin County ([email protected]) claim the James boys had cousins who lived in that county and were occasionally visited by the gang. Fayetteville is a short distance by horseback from the Old Pig Trail that passes through Turner's Bend and Cass into Franklin County. The Turner family was once visited by the James gang who stayed the night and gave them a $20 gold piece for their courtesy.     3. My mother, great-granddaughter, of John James always said they were distant cousins to Jesse James but I have not been able to find the link since I have no proof of John James' parents.
