    3. Hi Gail, This may not be your Gibson family, but it is about the same time period! About 1860, in Washington or Benton County, Arkansas, my great grand father James L. McCamey married a Emily or Emma Gibson. James was born in 1838 in Bedford County, Tennessee and moved with his parents to Arkansas just before 1850. Emma probably was born in Tennessee. They had 2 or 3 children(I think 3) including my grand father William Franklin McCamey in 1873. James also died in 1873. He was a mail carrier and MIGHT have been shot while on his rounds. Emily moved back to live with Bethel Gibson and his wife Sinia. I do not known if they were Emily's parents. And I don't know whether they were living in Arkansas or Tennessee. Good chance it was Arkansas. About 1902 Emily remarried Phillip Broadbeck, who was also a mail carrier. Two years later, Phillip died and Emily moved to live with her son William and lived there until she died in 1908 in Washington County, Arkansas. Phillip, Emily and James are all buried in the Elm Springs, Arkansas, Washington County cemetery. 3. Hi Danny, Thank you for your response. I have seen Bethel Gibson in the Washington Co, AR census through my Ancestry membership. I have not been able to connect him but haven't dismissed the thought that he is related in some way. Most of my Gibsons were around the Brush Creek and War Eagle townships. Some even lived in the edge of Benton, Carroll and Madison Counties. My mother lives in Washington County so I have had plenty of opportunity to walk the cemeteries and visit the courthouse. Looks like I have some more digging to do. If you ever need help with your family lines in AR let me know and I will try to help. Thanks again, Gail Lies Jonesboro, AR nglies@nex.net -----Original Message----- From: arwashin-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:arwashin-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Danny McCamey Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 7:06 PM To: arwashin@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ARWASHIN] John Gibson 1785-1853 Hi Gail, This may not be your Gibson family, but it is about the same time period!
