Does Washington Co. have marriage records for the late 1860's? I'm trying to find a date for George W. Bates and Martha A. ? They are on the 1870 census listed as G. H. Bates (33 Wm KY) and M. A.(22 Wf AR) with a daughter W. A. 1 month old. I would be forever grateful if anyone can find that date for me. They moved to Lincoln Co. before the next census and I have no idea where they came from except that ol' George was born in Ky. (maybe). Can anybody HELP me? Frances

Frances, I have the marriage records which were published years ago by the Washington Co. Historical Society. I checked these records for 1865 through 1869 but did not find a marriage for George W.
