I need to know if documentation exist showing his middle name was "Walter." He was born about 1833 in Whitley Co., KY. John and his wife, Margaret Bird Cox moved to Washington Co., AR, about 1857. He became a Union solider and died in Regimental Hospital, Fayetteville, Washington Co, AR, on Jan. 16, 1863. I also need to know if he had a daughter Mary whose middle name was "ANN." She died in AR sometime after the death of her father. Mary 's (Ann ?) body was taken by train along with her mother, Margaret and other children back to Whitley Co., KY.

Ok---I think the only outstanding obits will probably be found in Madison Co Were not in Benton or Washington Co Newspapers on micro-film . These are the two Jasper Risdom Grigg obituaries. Oops- almost forgot--There are a few of Shelley's that I did not find, but 2 left to send as soon as I find what I did with them. As far as I know, all others have either been sent or were not found. I have checked the obituary files at the NAGS Library in Bentonville, the Newspapers on micro-film at the Rogers Public Library, the Springdale Library, and the Fayetteville Library, as well as any books of obituaries at these locations that cover any of the years of death. I also checked the Obituaries of Benton County and the Obituaries of Washington County CD's. Enjoyed the hunt, but I have to take some time away to do some church related things right now. The only obits I will get copies to anyone, are those I have posted on the lists, and the future ones I will post once a month in the future. Wilma

Folks, I have been watching the wonderful work that Wilma has been doing for quite some time, so imagine my surprise yesterday when chatting to this nice lady at the Shiloh Museum and I asked her name and she said Wilma. We chatted a bit more and I asked her last name and when she said Fields, the light bulb went off in my head. It was nice to meet her and I know she has helped so many of you with your ancestor searches. Hazel

Well, today started on the road to Springdale to hear Joy Russell of the Madison County Genealogical and Historical Society speak on "Dead Folks in Madison County Do Tell Tales" at the Shiloh Museum. There are interesting stories behind the peoples' deaths, and Joy, I really enjoyed it! Then I drove the few blocks to the Springdale Library, and came home with some more obituaries. These were mainly for Shelley. So, since I had to beat the working folks home, I will be on the road to the Fayetteville Library tomorrow bright and early. If any obits are'nt there, then I have exhausted all of the papers in Benton & Washington Counties, except for a very few really old ones, that I only have a month and year on If time permits, I will get started again on those. And yes, as one of the list members discovered today at the Shiloh Museum, I am a real person! LOL Hazel! Wilma

The largest cemetery in Durham is McCord. Diane, The 1920 Census for War Eagle Twp. Benton Co AR, District 13 was taken Jan. 24, 1920. Carroll is the only child listed, and looks to be 1 4/12 of age. Diane, I believe that Carroll Ingram is the son of Floyd & Katie Ingram. Floyd was the son of George L. C. Ingram & Ellen Huckaby. I don't have complete information on Floyd & Katie's children, but would make an educated guess, that Winfred is also a son.
