Clayton, who in 1910, was postmaster in Elm Springs, Arkansas. Robert H. Clayton, b. 17 MAR 1841 in Green Co., Kentucky, d. 16 SEP 1923 in LaRue Co., Kentucky. He married Martha Evlina Sallee, b. 13 MAY 1841 in Hardin Co., Kentucky. They moved to Arkansas between 1869 - 1870. They were in Madison County, Arkansas in 1870, Washington County, Arkansas in 1880, 1900 & 1910, back in LaRue County,Kentucky in 1920. They had 2 children; daughter, Mary O. Clayton, b. abt. 1869 in Kentucky, and son, Jefferson M. Clayton, b. abt. 1872 in Arkansas. I haven't been able to find anything on either one of his children or when and where his wife, Martha, died. Any help, especially with the children, would be appreciated. Thanks!

John's mother was Sarah Boatman/Bateman. Married Willie Ann Piatt abt 1887 in Indian Territory. He was involved with working on the Winslow Tunnel and may have suffered from TB. Is there a sanitorium in which he might have been placed and died there in this area of Arkansas? Son was Arlie Burris, b abt 1889. Married Minnie Lee Dunn. They were not present at the Wedding and they were married by Tristrum E Babb. They were my great great grandparents and Mourning West was Cherokee Indian.
