Row Danny, this is just great that the info is in the book because even though its probably unmarked, Nettie Ford Flinn/Flynn is probably buried beside her husband. She is my great-great-great aunt and when I drive up to NW Ar., I'll pay a visit to the cemetery. You've provided me info on where most likely her grave will be. You see, I have an excerpt from newspaper from there and Nettie died Feb. 15, 1924 and interment was to be at Elm Springs. (I often questioned this because so many of her relatives, including parents, siblings, are buried at nearby Mount Hebron Cemetery in Benton County). Thanks bunches for the lookup. 3. Wilma & Gail, Hard to believe, I have never seen or looked for Bethel & Sanai at the Elm Springs cemetery. Yes, I want their pictures. This does indicate they were in Arkansas and not Tennessee while Emma and my grandfather William were with them. AND James and his parents J.H. & Nancy plus some of James brothers & sisters are buried in the same area. William and most of his children including my father are also in the cemetery (about 6 generations).....Gail, the 1850 census at War Eagle in Madison County, Arkansas has James McCamey as a 12 year old along with James' parents (my great great grandparents). In the 1860 the McCamey family was included in the Elm Springs, Washington County, Arkansas census. And the McCamey and Gibson families were buried in the same cemetery and in the same area (related?). 3. Hi Gail, This may not be your Gibson family, but it is about the same time period! About 1860, in Washington or Benton County, Arkansas, my great grand father James L. McCamey married a Emily or Emma Gibson. James was born in 1838 in Bedford County, Tennessee and moved with his parents to Arkansas just before 1850. Emma probably was born in Tennessee. They had 2 or 3 children(I think 3) including my grand father William Franklin McCamey in 1873. James also died in 1873. He was a mail carrier and MIGHT have been shot while on his rounds. Emily moved back to live with Bethel Gibson and his wife Sinia. I do not known if they were Emily's parents. And I don't know whether they were living in Arkansas or Tennessee. Good chance it was Arkansas. About 1902 Emily remarried Phillip Broadbeck, who was also a mail carrier. Two years later, Phillip died and Emily moved to live with her son William and lived there until she died in 1908 in Washington County, Arkansas. Phillip, Emily and James are all buried in the Elm Springs, Arkansas, Washington County cemetery. 3. THANK YOU, Danny for giving me the address for the Elm Springs Cemetery Assn. I now will be able to write and hopefully find out more about this single MORRISON headstone. The listing you gave, "Bunvan, 1951, phase 2 row 22" should actually read "Bunyon Morrison. His full name was Mark Hershel Bunyon MORRISON b. 15 Sep 1863 in GA and died 15 Nov 1951 in Elm Springs, Washington Co. AR. His wife was Catherine Elizabeth Ashworh and they were the parents of all but one of the other listings. "Zora, 1967, phase 3 row 25" was a daughter-in-law and wife of their son Edward b. Nov 1890 in Elm Springs and died after 1930. [In 1930 census Edward & Zora were in Vallejo, Solano, CA] I'll now search for a death record for Edward in CA. THANKS SO MUCH. Nell I sincerely appreciate your help that may help to solve one puzzle in my MORRISON family. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Danny McCamey" <dmccamey@bigpond.net.au> To: <arwashin@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 5:47 PM Subject: Re: [ARWASHIN] Records for Elm Springs Cemetery-Washington Co. 1. [ARWASHIN] Reservation at Randolph Co. Ark??
    2. Sylvia Kralik
    3. Hi All, My husband's great grandmother supposedly lived on a reservation at Pocahontas, Randolph Co., Ark. Does anyone know if there was a reservation there? If so, was it Osage or Cherokee? Nathanial Benjamin Acree and Mary Susan Cathaline Stone were married there, Dec. 23, 1873 in the home of her father, Hartwell Stone. Thank you for your time. Sylvia

    3. Hi, Danny & Gail! I have a picture of Bethel & Sinai's tombstones from Elm Springs Cemetery. I was there getting other photos, and saw the Gibson name. I have two different Gibson families that connect, one is the same Gail is researching, and connects to my husbands' Fields line, and the other is a family in Washington Co., near Cincinnati, Summers area, that relates to my Medearis line. I take pictures of any Gibsons I run across while in cemeteries. Danny, if you want the pictures, e-mail me at wfields55@hotmail.com, and I will send them to you. Gail, did I already send them to you? I have seen Bethel Gibson in the Washington Co, AR census through my Ancestry membership. I have not been able to connect him but haven't dismissed the thought that he is related in some way. Most of my Gibsons were around the Brush Creek and War Eagle townships. Some even lived in the edge of Benton, Carroll and Madison Counties. My mother lives in Washington County so I have had plenty of opportunity to walk the cemeteries and visit the courthouse. Looks like I have some more digging to do. If you ever need help with your family lines in AR let me know and I will try to help. Good luck, Danny McCamey in Australia ---------------------------------------------------- ----- Original Message ----- From: "Gail Lies" <nglies@nex.net> To: <ARWASHIN-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Wednesday, January 17, 2007 2:13 PM Subject: [ARWASHIN] John Gibson 1785-1853 > John Gibson is in Washington County, AR before the 1840 census. 1. [ARWASHIN] Records for Elm Springs Cemetery-Washington Co. AR
    2. Nell Lewis
    3. I would appreciate any information on how I can get either an e-mail or a snail-mail address for the Elm Springs Cemetery Assn or where their records could be found. I have pictures of tombstones for 8 of my MORRISON ancestors that are buried in Elm Springs Cemetery all with markers with names and dates, however near by, but not on these plots to these family members, I also have a picture of a more recent and a larger tombstone with only the family name of "MORRISON". There are no individual names or dates on this single tombstone. I would like to find a cemetery record that would show the date it was placed in the cemetery and if possible the person who placed it, so I would know if it this could be part of my family, too. Any guidance would be greatly appreciated. I have this information about Elm Springs Cemetery: Elm Springs Cemetery, south side of Elm Springs On the south side of Elm Springs on Arkansas Hwy 112, turn east on School Street. Follow the road about 0.2 miles. It will make a turn to the right and become Lake Road. At this turn continue straight on Lawn View Street. This will lead straight into the cemetery. The cemetery is very well maintained. Thank you, Nell
