Go to Mapquest and pull up West Fork AR. There is a Campbell Rd that goes N out of West fork and then crosses I-540. I'm pretty sure the cemetery is on this road on the west side of 540. The way I found it was from the main exit just to the north of West Fork (Exit 58) From there, go to the Service Road on the West side of I-540 and head South. This is Campbell Rd. (If I remember correctly, it goes uphill right there at that intersection). The cemetery is about 1.5-2 miles (guessing) and it will be on your left. It has big pines growing in it. There used to be a church out front, but it got torn down sometime the last couple of years. There are two parts to it, one has a chain link around it on the right side of the gravel rd, and the older part is on the left, where the church used to be. If you're going the way I mention, you will probably see the chain link part on the left side of the road first. IF it is the same (which I believe it is) it is just a little way from Farmington, Arkansas, about 4 miles west of Fayetteville. Rhea's Mill is between Farmington and Prairie Grove, Arkansas. Here is a little background info on Mr. Rhea, with credit going to the UA Library's Special Collections Dept.: The McIlroy papers pertain to three Washington County, Arkansas, pioneer merchant families--Powell, Rhea, and McIlroy. Dr. Samuel Powell (1810-1898) and his wife, Sarah Burns (1811-1904), migrated from Tennessee to Arkansas around 1829 and settled in western Washington County near Prairie Grove, where Dr. Powell practiced medicine. Their daughter, Elizabeth Cornelia (1836-1929), married William Husband Rhea (1825-1884) in 1854. Mr. Rhea also migrated from Tennessee and settled in western Washington County around 1836 in what became known as Rhea's Mill. In addition to operating a general store at Rhea's Mill, the Rhea family also operated stores in Cincinnati and Maysville. Mr. and Mrs Rhea had several children, one of whom was Sarah Ann (1868-1953). She married James Hayden McIlroy (1868-1939) in 1889. He was the son of William McIlroy (1812-1886), the founder of McIlroy Bank and Trust Company (Fayetteville). In addition to establishing one of the oldest banks in Arkansas, the McIlroy family established the first wholesale grocery company and owned and operated the first water company. Sarah A. McIlroy was a member of the Idle Hour Club, one of the oldest women's clubs in Fayetteville. James H. and Sarah A. To Ramona: From Connie Wilcox Test Your ggfather, Samuel Marrs, where in Washington County was he born, if you know? My ggfather, Jonas Dobbs, married a Marrs from in or around Prairie Grove. She was Dona, I believe. My grandfather, George Dobbs would have been about the age of your ggfather. I think grandad was born in 1885. I don't know much about the Marrs family though.
