Aye! I would love to have all the Jackson records from Beaty Cemetery in Lincoln. I know my great grandparents, Mack and Jane Jackson are buried there, but so are numerous other relatives that I have no record of. If you could look them up at your convenience, I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
Hello again We have in our library, all the books on Washington county Cemeteries. I will be at the library tonight, as the president of the Genealogical Society and would be glad to do a lookup for you. Send me the name you're interested in. By the way, there's a small cemetery near Evansville named Bethlehem. My ggg grandfather and mother, Ira Williams and Winna (Pogue) Williams are buried there, along with my gg grandfather, Elbert Severe Williams. Someone went through within the last few years and did considerable damage to the stones. I'd like to see someone like that horse-whipped in the middle of the town square!!! All those in favor, AYE.
Richard, I have a Richard & Mary Wood listed on the 1850 census in Cove Creek twp, Washington Co., AR. These are their children: Mary, Richard, Jacob, Joseph, Marget & George. Hi listers I went to the INTERMENT.com page as published and could find nothing except advertisement for Pre-need burials. We need some further directions from the person who listed this if we are to use the resource. Thanks Bonnie

Hi Joyce! While I don't recognize any of the individuals you name, my next door neighbor here where I live on Sunset Mountain in Winslow Township in southeast Washington County (about six miles east of Winslow and a thousand feet higher) is the widow of Robert Spears. Her son, Bob Spears lives just beyond her to the north. As I understand it, the Spears have lived in this area for well over a hundred years. You would do well to look at census listings for Winslow and Reed Townships in Washington County and at the cemetery listings for the Sunset and Black Oak cemeteries. -- Robert W. Hi (another) Richard, I have contacted a few Strain searchers, but I will try you also. Do you have any connection to Strickler ?? Also I have pictures of Pete Strain if you want them ? I feel there is a connection except the fact that Pete Strain and Hugh Carl Strickler were both "Round House Foremen" in the Tulsa Train Yards. Hi Linda, Kelly is one of my lines. Hiram Kelly and Elizabeth McGee were married 19 Aug 1813 in Burke County NC. They moved to GA about 1828. Elizabeth died about 1843/44 and Hiram married Malinda Anderson in 1845, Hiram, Malinda and their daughters, Elmina, Eliza Jane "Louiza" and Malinda moved to Madison county AR about 1858. It appears Hiram & Elizabeth's son, Joseph, and daughter, Sarah and her husband, Joshua C Ellis, traveled with Hiram and Malinda. Dr. Jesse R. Kelly and his family followed a year or two later. I am searching for documentation that daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Monroe, also followed and are buried in Son's Chapel Cemetery in Washington County. Hiram's grandson, Hiram Kelly Ellis, son of Sarah and Joshua Ellis, married Susan Lane, daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Vaughn) Lane. My memory is less clear, but I believe there are also some Lane connections through the children of Joseph Kelly. Joshua C and Sara (Kelly) Ellis' son, Joshua Thomas married Georgeann Roberts, born in Sumner County, TN, in 1884. Georgeann was the daughter of Ben H and Matilda (Griffin) Roberts. Ben's brother George D Roberts was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Washington county prior to his death in 1883. George and Catherine (Link) Roberts were married in Sumner County. I believe their daughter Mary Ann married James R Pond in Sumner County before moving to Washington County. James and Mary Ann Pond are the grandparents of Washington County's WWII hero Leroy Pond. Leroy's parents were Hugh Pond and Alice Hollbaugh. Leroy died in England 15 Jan 1845. The file I opened did not have the citation for the Leroy's biography written by a Washingtion county historian, published in the local media. My current research focus is on the Kelly/Ellis Families. Hiram Kelly died 13 Jul 1862 in Madison County. I have found bits and pieces of information for his widow Malinda, and daughters Elmina and "Louiza", but I am searching for documented evidence on the widow Malinda and her daughters. The information I have for "Louiza" indicates she married David Brown. Based on census data I beleive their children were Daniel Hiram, Sarah, and Alice. I'll be happy to share any information in my files. Jonelle Ellis Russell
