Have you tried the U of Ark Library in Fayetteville? http://libinfo.uark.edu/specialcollections/ I found some by clicking on "Manuscript Collections", then down the page a ways click on "Guide to Selected Collections". 2. Would you mind looking up information on Adam Beaty married to Bethemia Williams. I believe he was born around the late 1700s -- early 1800s. I believe they lived there in 1828 and Beaty's Prairie was named after Adam Beaty. It was later renamed another town but I cannot remember what it was renamed. Adam and Bethemia had one daughter that I know of Elizabeth Jane Beaty. Thank you Sandy

    3. Hi, I have a Pond in my line. My mother's sister, Lila Ruth Latimer, 7-17-1909, married a Guilford Pond, around Whitehouse, Tn. I have two Lanes, one was my husband's grandmother. Her name was Hessie Mae Lane, b.1884. Her father may have been a William. I waiting for information to verify this. They lived in Sumner County, but at some time moved to Bowling Green, Ky, with her husband, John Henry Carter,b. 1879. The other Lane, was Demps Lane who married a cousin, Willie Lou Harrison. They lived in the Whitehouse area of Sumner Co, Tn. Now with the Kellys- My Grandmother was CARRIE ELIZABETH KELLY, b. 1868, Sumner Co. Her parents were ALBERT KELLY, b. 1831, Sumner Co. and JANE MARIE SHAW, b. 1832, Sumner Co. Albert's parents were JAMES KELLY, b. 1806, N.C.d. aft. 1880, and MALINDA MARTIN, b. 1808, Sumner Co. Their children were: Albert, Elizabeth,George, James Jr. , Mary, Margaret, William(died young), John, Harriet, and Sarah. James' father was EDWARD KELLY. Edward's children were WARREN, HARRIET(married a LATIMER which is also on my mother's side), JAMES, and BATHOLONEW KELLY. Jonelle Ellis Russell wrote:Hi Linda, Kelly is one of my lines. Hiram Kelly and Elizabeth McGee were married 19 Aug 1813 in Burke County NC. They moved to GA about 1828. Elizabeth died about 1843/44 and Hiram married Malinda Anderson in 1845, Hiram, Malinda and their daughters, Elmina, Eliza Jane "Louiza" and Malinda moved to Madison county AR about 1858. It appears Hiram & Elizabeth's son, Joseph, and daughter, Sarah and her husband, Joshua C Ellis, traveled with Hiram and Malinda. Dr. Jesse R. Kelly and his family followed a year or two later. I am searching for documentation that daughter Elizabeth and her husband Thomas Monroe, also followed and are buried in Son's Chapel Cemetery in Washington County. Hiram's grandson, Hiram Kelly Ellis, son of Sarah and Joshua Ellis, married Susan Lane, daughter of Samuel and Nancy (Vaughn) Lane. My memory is less clear, but I believe there are also some Lane connections through the children of Joseph Kelly. Joshua C and Sara (Kelly) Ellis' son, Joshua Thomas married Georgeann Roberts, born in Sumner County, TN, in 1884. Georgeann was the daughter of Ben H and Matilda (Griffin) Roberts. Ben's brother George D Roberts was an active member of the Masonic Lodge in Washington county prior to his death in 1883. George and Catherine (Link) Roberts were married in Sumner County. I believe their daughter Mary Ann married James R Pond in Sumner County before moving to Washington County. James and Mary Ann Pond are the grandparents of Washington County's WWII hero Leroy Pond. Leroy's parents were Hugh Pond and Alice Hollbaugh. Leroy died in England 15 Jan 1845. The file I opened did not have the citation for the Leroy's biography written by a Washingtion county historian, published in the local media. My current research focus is on the Kelly/Ellis Families. Hiram Kelly died 13 Jul 1862 in Madison County. I have found bits and pieces of information for his widow Malinda, and daughters Elmina and "Louiza", but I am searching for documented evidence on the widow Malinda and her daughters. The information I have for "Louiza" indicates she married David Brown. Based on census data I beleive their children were Daniel Hiram, Sarah, and Alice. I'll be happy to share any information in my files. 2. A great debt is owed to Bob Keen of WA County, and this list, for the work he practically single-handedly did to bring back and preserve Bethlehem Cemetery. The plaque there designating it a historic site was bought by Bob and he was also the determined petitioner to get it that status. I think cows have gotten into there a number of times, also people damage, from what I remember him telling me when he took me there. So the fence is also Bob's doing. Tennants and other very early families are buried there. Candace Wellman Bellingham, WA

    3. Subject: Re: [ARWASHIN] Re: Clark Family-Marcus(Dick)Ark, Tn, Mo, Ky Do you have any further information on your Elizabeth McGee family side, such as her date of birth or parents? Joyce Elizabeth McGee Elizabeth McGee was the daughter of Patrick Steward (Stuart) McGEE and Mary SPEAR. My information was provided by Willie Bohannan and from Mrs. Roy Manley of GA. I have some supporting information, but I do not know her birth date. her husband Hiram Kelly was born in 1787. Elizabeth's parents were believed to have been married 12 Dec 1786 in Rowan County NC. One researcher believed Elizabeth may have been born in South Carolina, but I believe Patrick is listed in the North Carolina twice prior to Elizabeth's marriage, and census data indicates the mother of my gg-grandmother, Sarah Kelly Ellis, was born in NC. Patrick McGee is listed in the 1830 Census of Habersham County, GA. James McGee was either with the family or next door. My guess is that Patrick and Mary McGee died in Habersham County before the 1840 census but I am still searching for some documentation. Next trip to Salt Lake I'll search in the land and probate records. Hope this helps. Jonelle Ellis Russell
