Debbie, If you would like, I'll print this info out and check the the library the next time I go. I am living in Kansas at the moment; but would much rather be back home in the South. Until 2 yrs. ago, I lived only 30 minutes from ElDorado, now I'm outside Kansas City. I would think the local, or perhaps even the Universisty library might provide me with access to the obit. Happy Hunting! Carrie Thomas-Dominguez Researching THOMAS, SMITH, DOTSON (X 2), WOOD(S), CLEM, WISE, NICHOLS in Sebastian, Washington, Boone, Newton, Crawford Co.'s < George Miller, perhaps George E. Miller, died in El Dorado, Kansas, on March 17, 1950. He was on his way back from a California vacation and became ill, dying at his daughter's home in El Dorado. His wife was Bessie Miller, and they had 4 children. Thanks, Debbie .
Michele, Thanks for the info. Since I am not from there, what library - does someone have the phone or email or snail mail addresses for that place? I would really like to pursue this. Hello listers, If a resident of Fayetteville died in another state in 1950, would their obit have been published in the local paper in Fayetteville? My grandfather died in Kansas in 1950 while on his way back home to Fayetteville. His body was shipped home and he is buried in Fairhaven or Fairlawn Cemetery (cannot remember the right name). Any info would be most helpful. Debbie

If you have not checked out the Arkansas Cemetery Website which goes hand in hand with the AR-Cemeteries mailing list you should. It is being updated daily thanks to Charlie Ward and the many volunteers who are out there gathering cemetery data and photos for her, which is being submitted to the site on a regular basis. http://www.rootsweb.com/~arcemete/arcem.htm Kathleen Burnett List Mom
