    1. RE: [ARWASHIN] Washington County Cemeteries
    2. Robert W. King
    3. Hi Carolyn! All four of the cemeteries you named are in Washington County. Black Oak Cemetery is associated with the Black Oak Church of Christ and is located on County Road 108 about six miles east of Winslow. Hazel Valley Cemetery is associated with the Hazel Valley Community Church. Hazel Valley is about ten miles due east of Winslow and about ten miles due south of Elkins. Baptist Ford Cemetery is a large cemetery associated with the Baptist Ford Baptist Church on the West Fork of the White River about a mile south of Greenland. Zinnamon Cemetery is located near the junction of County Road 170 and Zinnamon Church Road a couple of miles north of Devils Den in the south central part of Washington County. The best way I know to locate cemeteries is to use the USGS GNIS web site at http://geonames.usgs.gov/pls/gnis/web_query.gnis_web_query_form. Just specify the state and county. Then select 'cemetery' as the Feature Type you want to search for. Leave the Feature name blank unless you are searching for a specific cemetery. That will generate a list of most (not necessarily all) of the cemeteries in the state and county you specified. When I ran this search, it found 100 cemeteries in Washington County. You can then click on the specific cemetery name and see a map of its location. By the way, this list does NOT include any of the four cemeteries you named. -- Robert W.
