Notice that the newspaper termed Robert Green as a tramp; that explains why it was not investigated, etc. ----- Original Message ----- From: <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Thursday, July 10, 2003 3:47 PM Subject: Re: [ARWASHIN] Robert Green killed 1896 Indian Territory > In a message dated 7/10/2003 2:35:25 PM Central Daylight Time, > [email protected] writes: > > > > He slept in the upper part of a seed house and in > > climbing down, his weapon was accidentally discharged, the ball entering his > > back and causing his deth in less than an hour. > > > > Very interesting incident. Easy with a single action S&W revolver. It will go off if the hammer is struck, or if dropped on the hammer it will fire. Old single action revolvers can be retrofitted with a plate that keeps the weapon from discharging without the hammer first being cocked, or the trigger pulled. Hi Tonya! FYI, there are a considerable number of Greathouse tombstones in the Elm Springs cemetery behind the Methodist Church. -- Robert W. King I'm an ingenieur, NOT a bloody locomotive driver! Dear List Members, If you were effected by the Comcast buy out, then you need to read this, if not delete it. Just this evening, I have receive over 100 requests for me to change e-mail address to a Comcast address. Many of these requests mention multiple lists of which the sender needs their e-mail address changed. It will take me a good week or so to get through them all. My suggestion is; If you still have the ability to unsubscribe go to PASSWORD Central at http://passwordcentral.rootsweb.com/ type in your old e-mail address, and follow the directions. You will receive an e-mail from which you can unsubscribe. If you can't do this, then you will just need to re-subscribe with your new address and let the old one bounce off. To re-subscribe this go to John Fuller's mailing list site http://www.rootsweb.com/~jfuller/gen_mail.html or remember you can subscribe and or unsubscribe by sending only the word UNSUBSCRIBE or SUBSCRIBE to [email protected] or [email protected] if you are on the Digest List. Naturally change the XXXXXX to the name of the list. If all else fails, contact me, but be understanding if it takes me a while to get to you. Kathleen Burnett List Mom

Kathie, I found only two Brittains/Brittons in the years 1860 - 1900: 1869 - Mary Britton to Joshua Nunn The transcriptions for these early years through 1869 do not include the day and month. The original record may have this information though. Bk E, p. 298: Samuel Brittain to Sarah Bell on 11 July 1878 There weren't any Coopers by name of Sula, Barthula or Lesula, and no Rhoda Buck or Buchannan......
