Zach THOMAS married Sarah C. JOHNSON, d/o Preston JOHNSON and Catherine REDDICK, in 1888 in Washington Co. AR. According to the 1910 census, Sarah was a widow with 2 children living at home - Bartney C., 17, and Hugh A., 12. She had borne 7 children but only 2 survived in 1910. In 1920, Bartney still lived with her mother but Hugh was gone - married maybe? Bartney married in 1923 and I couldn't find any of the family after 1920. Does anyone have information on this family they'd be willing to share? Would someone be kind enough to look on the 1900 census for Prairie Twp. in Washington Co. - I'd like to know the names of their other children and if Zach was still alive in 1900. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Jan
Does anyone have access to the Washington county cemeteries book which contains Scott Cemetery? Am looking for burial of Rebecca Parker Chambers who died 1900-1903. She was first wife of Anderson W. Chambers.
Is the Campbell Cemetery in or near West Fork listed? Olan Watkins
Be sure you put the little "~" before "kinfolkkorner". That's why it didn't come up. I forget that thing myself half the time! :-) Susan <><

I went to the Cemetery site, but did not see a Greemland Cemetery listed. According to a descendant of John Weeks who was a brother to Chapman Weeks who married my father's aunt Chapman and Elizabeth Weeks were buried in the Greenland Cemetery. Can anyone tell me if this is correct and if so why isn't it listed in the cemeteries of Washington Co., John ----- Original Message ----- From: "Kathleen Burnett" <[email protected]> To: <[email protected]> Sent: Sunday, August 17, 2003 5:43 PM Subject: [ARWASHIN] Arkansas Cemeteries Webpage > If you have not visited the Arkansas Cemeteries Website which goes hand > in hand with the AR-CEMETERIES Mailing List lately, you should. Dear List Members, I just ran across an interesting Website, "Courthouse Experiences" http://www.bcpl.net/~dmg/courthouse.htm Not every county is listed, but the ones listed gave helpful information regarding the attitudes of those working in the courthouses. I might suggest that if you have had a positive or negative courthouse experience you add them to this site. I now know how to prepare myself for several courthouses I want to visit later this year. There seems to be two men by the name of Preston JOHNSON living in Washington Co. in the 1850's. I'm looking for the one who married Catherine REDDICK in the early 1850's and had a daughter named Margaret Elizabeth JOHNSON who married a DONALDSON. Can anyone tell me when Preston and Catherine were married and where they are buried? I'd like to hear from anyone who has any info on this family. Thanks, Jan
Searching for more data on above husband and wife found on the 1880 fed census, West Fork, AR. page 12, E.D. 209. Harvy is list as a 21 year old farmer born in AR.
