Interesting that I didn't see any inscription on the gate post! Of course, we went a couple years ago. I'm still trying to find out who replaced the Mankins markers with beautiful new ones. I know that the Hanna's and Mankins were close, from the tales I've uncovered. Thank you David for sharing your information! ;-) Toni -----Original Message----- From: dlclark3 <[email protected]> To: [email protected] <[email protected]> Date: Wednesday, October 08, 2003 8:52 PM Subject: RE: [ARWASHIN] White House Cemetery >White House cemetery was donated by my ancestors, the Hanna family. I recently received a dolip of information concerning the White House community of Washington County Arkansas. I am wondering where I could possibly find more, or if anyone out there has such information. The surnames of my search are RAMEY, BLEVINS, HIGHT, BASSETT. Thank! Look forward to hearing from you. White House cemetery was donated by my ancestors, the Hanna family. The patriarch of the family was Samuel C. Hanna (1775-1837). He is buried there. I was there in June. There is an inscription on the gate post that attests to the donation. It reads "Whitehouse Cemetery Established 1800 and donated by the Hanna family 1854." I have a picture of myself at the gate. I took digital pictures of the gravestones of the Hannas. David L. Hi. Can anyone find a cemetery listing for Owen Owen and/or his wife Ellen Jane (Kelley) Owen? Owen was born about 1785 in Bedford County, Virginia, and died ALLEGEDLY 2 July 1867 in Washington County, Arkansas. Ellen Jane (or Jane Ellen, or Jane, or Ellen) was born about 1821 in Kentucky, and died about 1860 in Washington County, Arkansas. They are both listed in the 1860 census record for 1860 in Washington County, so she must have died after that date. Any information about when or where they died, or where they are buried, will be appreciated. Jo Anna Dale <[email protected]>

There are quite a few by the name of Beach, but no Abraham. There are, however, several fieldstones in this cemetery according to the readers. Folks, Just to let you know my website has photos of headstones for Several Washington Co Arkansas Cemetaries. Of them are Stuckey, Freindship, and Elm Springs. As my contributors recieve requests from random acts of kindness we place the phots on the web so that others can get to them. Stuckey is my own personal project as there are many folks in that cemetary that are relation to me. I have most of the old part of the cemetary photographed and placed on the web for those who need to get to the pictures. Web site is freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~jmwtlw/index.htm. Select cemetaries and the location and you will find the listing of cemetaries that are available. [email protected]
