Looking for information on Hugh M. BOSWELL, b. about 1812 in Tennessee, appears in Fayetteville, Washington County, Arkansas on 19 Nov 1857, when he marries Louisa J. RILEY (b. 1839, Indiana) Hugh M. BOSWELL appears in the 1860 census in Fayetteville with Louisa's father, George RILEY. Family tradition says he was part CHEROKEE and left Fayetteville during the Civil War because he was a Union sympathizer. He told later censuses that his parents were born in Virginia. He later lived in Jefferson County Iowa, and Greene County, Missouri and died sometime after 1880, maybe in Missouri. Does anyone know where Hugh BOSWELL came from?
I am away on a genealogy research trip. Will return 10/20/03. Thanks! DLC
I am looking for information on the Bogan School Cemetery in or near Hazel Valley, AR. Great Grandfather James Riley HIGHT is said to be buried there. Possibly his wife, also. I sure would appreciate any information on such a place. Thanks, Kathy Searching for these surnames: HIGHT, BLEVINS, RAMEY, BASSETT, SHEPPARD _________________________________________________________________ Surf and talk on the phone at the same time with broadband Internet access.
