My grandfather, Garland Daniel GRIMES was orphaned by the time he was 3 years of age; which would have fallen around 1900. His family lived on Culpepper Mountain outside of Clinton. List I'd like to echo Mary's question about an epedemic in AR about 1895-1900. My ancestor lost both parents at one time ca 1896-98. Short of asphyxiation, I can't think of any other reason than an epidemic that would have taken both parents simultaneously. Dennis in MN
